Disney’s Mickey Mouse has long been a popular character among children all over the world. This year, the new Dance Star Mickey is taking center stage because he comes to life right before your eyes. Now, Mickey is walking, talking and dancing his way right into history. He features new moves and grooves like you’ve never seen. This doll has interactive activities, multiple songs and even silly humorous jokes.

Dance Star Mickey can even do the moonwalk. He includes six songs such as Moondance, Mambo, Techno and Shake Your Groove Thing. All you have to do is press Mickey’s foot to start through the six dances that he does. Once he finishes a musical number, you can push his foot again to trigger the next song.

Pressing the Mickey’s hand will activate game mode. He comes with two fun and interactive games including “Mickey Says” which is a version of Simon Says. Kids will get a kick out of playing a game where Mickey will tell them what to do. If he doesn’t say “Mickey Says” before telling them what to do and the child still does it, then the child will be “out”.

The second game Mickey plays is called Freeze Dance. The children will be able to dance freestyle to the beat and then when Mickey says “Freeze”, they need to freeze in place.

The doll is powered by six AA batteries which come included in the original package. One great power saving feature of Dance Star Mickey is that he conveniently turns off to preserve the battery if he hasn’t been played with for more than 20 seconds.

Dance Star Mickey is truly lifelike and has realistic motions. One great feature of this doll is that it motivates children to want to get up and move. In this day and age of kids sitting around playing video games or watching television, any kind of toy that will get them to do more activity is a good thing. He’s also fascinating to listen to and can spark a kid’s imagination.

The toy is very interactive and has a lot of humor so kids will find themselves laughing as they play with it. One negative is that the item doesn’t work very well on carpet because of the dancing, so it is better to use it on vinyl, hardwoods or other smooth surface flooring. However, that does not take away the fact that Dance Star Mickey is going to be one hot item this year because of its great range of motion and realistic dance moves.
